The Automatic Squeeze is a play by the declarer
which will work against either opponent. The following example will illustrate the
play.
When the declarer leads the Ace of Diamonds from his hand, East is squeezed. Declarer plays the Three of Spades from the dummy. East must find a discard, but if East discards a Heart, then the two Hearts in the dummy are winners. If East discards the Ace of Spades, then the King of Spades held by the declarer is a winner. This Automatic Squeeze also works in the same manner if the holding of East and West were exchanged.
