These opening bids were devised and developed by Mr. Paul Collins and Mr. David Appleton in the year 1999. As stated by the two developers: Yellow Island was developed one fateful day in the Island coffee shop.It is intended to contain both the highly constructive nature of the Crimson Death and Blood Red transfer openings with the moderately destructive fert while allowing some width to avoid some of the more negative aspects of the fert style.I wish to acknowledge Dean Scully for introducing me to the idea of a multi-way pass.

Note: Any additional information as to the two bridge personalities of Mr. Paul Collins and Mr. David Appleton would be greatly appreciated.
