This particular defense method is only for the more advanced player and more experienced partnership owing to its complexity. The summary is presented on this site with no examples or illustrations. The summary is compiled by Mr. Mohamed Abdel Bari and has been contributed by Mr. Scott Bennett Graham. The definition of the designation remains unknown.

This conventional defense method is divided into five separate sections to include all possible overcalls from 2 Clubs to and including 2 No Trump by the immediate player next in rotation following the 1 No Trump opening bid by the opposing side.

1. An immediate overcall of double shows either a one-suited holding with Hearts only (usually a 6-card suit), or a holding with a 5-card plus Heart suit and a 5-card plus unspecified Minor suit.
Assuming that the responder of the 1 No Trump opener does not compete, then the advancer can communicate information in the following manner.
  Advancer
  Pass: Suitable for defense.
2 : Takeout; not suitable for defense; no Heart fit.
Note: Assuming that the responder of the 1 No Trump opener does not compete, then the overcaller can continue to compete on the two / three level with the following rebids to describe accurately the holding. This principle remains in effect for all following overcalls and responses by the advancer.
Pass: with 5 Clubs and 5 Hearts.
    2 : with 5 Diamonds and 5 Hearts.
    2 : with only a Heat suit.
2 : shows a strong hand with 5 Hearts and 5 of a Minor suit; advancer bids 2 No Trump, and now doubler shows his Minor suit.
