Opening Bids Only

Bid		Strength		Meaning
1 :		16 plus high card points		Shows any shape.
1 :		11-15 high card points		Shows various shapes.
1 :		11-15 high card points		Promises 5 plus Hearts.
1 :		11-15 high card points		Promises 5 plus Spades.
1 NT:		15-17 high card points		Shows balanced shape.
2 :		11-15 high card points		Promises 5 plus Clubs.
2 :		6-10 high card points		Shows either a 6-card Heart or a 6-card Spade suit, or
		20-21 high card points		shows balanced shape.
2 :		6-10 high card points		Distribution: 5-5 plus in Hearts and a Minor suit.
2 :		11-15 high card points		Distribution: 5-5 plus in Spades and a second suit.
2NT:		11-15 high card points		Distribution: 5-5 plus in both Minor suits.
