Mr. Flemming Dahl published a booklet in the early 1980s, which described the system of Danish Standard opening bids, and which is outlined below. No other information as to this publication is available at this time.

Opening Bids Only

Bid		Strength		Meaning
1 :		11-20 high card points		Shows 3 plus Clubs.
1 :		11-20 high card points		Shows 4 plus Diamonds.
1 :		11-20 high card points		Shows 4 plus Hearts.
1 :		11-20 high card points		Shows 5 plus Spades.
1 NT:		15-17 high card points		Shows balanced shape.
2 :		21 plus high card points		Shows any shape.
2 :		6-11 high card points		Shows 6 Hearts or Spades, or
		18 plus high card points		shows 5 plus Clubs or Diamonds.
2 :		18 plus high card points		Shows 5 plus Hearts.
2 :		18 plus high card points		Shows 5 plus Spades.
2NT:		20-22 high card points		Shows balanced distribution.

After a 1 No Trump opening, Stayman or Transfers can be employed on the two level. After an opening of 1 Heart or 1 Spade, a first response of 2 No Trump is game-forcing showing at least a 3-card trump support.

The three openings of 2 Diamonds / 2 Hearts / 2 Spades, all openings showing 18 plus high card points is similar to the Acol Two Bids. When the holding contains two 4-card suits, the lower suit is opened first. If the distribution is 4-3-3-3, then the opening is required to be 1 Club regardless of strength.
